ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY IN NIGERIA

Sadly, the nation's defendants are majorly forgotten and sidelined despite their efforts in securing and defending the rights and peace of Nigeria. The Armed Force members are usually an afterthought to the majority of Nigerians but we at BAFFI can never forget or neglect what these people have done and are doing for our nation.

That is why we choose to remember the heroes of our land today, The Armed Forces Remembrance Day, is a date that is set aside in Nigeria to honor personnel in the Ary, Air Force, Navy, and Police who died in the line of duty.

The event is also held to celebrate veterans still alive and as a medium to raise financial, moral and material support for the families of the fallen heroes.

As a community, we commiserate with those that have lost their loved ones while they were protecting and defending the peace of this great nation, Nigeria. We can never ignore the impact these men and women have made in the sands of time in this nation. We are truly grateful for their acts of bravery in ensuring the lives and properties of the people of Nigeria are protected.
